LAUNCHED: Today, Jaguar Land Rover India launched its all-new premium sedan, JAGUAR XF at a price of Rs 49.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2016 Jaguar XF will be the first vehicle from the manufacturer to be powered by the new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine.
On the occasion of the launch, president of JLR India, Rohit Suri said, “Over the years, Jaguar XF has gained immense popularity and success in the Indian market and we are excited to offer the all-new Jaguar XF to our discerning and distinguished customers passionate about owning a Jaguar.”
On the exterior, the Jaguar XF gets its ‘J’ blade Daytime Running Lights on either side of the signature Jaguar grille with LED headlamps. Engineered with aluminium, the new XF sheds a total of 190 kg from its predecessor.
In terms of features, the car comes with ambient mood lighting in 10 colours and All Surface Progress Control driving technology to go along with a dramatic start-up sequence.
The InControl infotainment system comes in two options – InControl Touch on the Pure and Prestige derivatives and InControl Touch Pro on the Portfolio derivative. The sound systems installed are Meridian with 11 speakers on the Prestige and 17 on the Portfolio.
The car runs on the Ingenium 2.0 l 4-cylinder Turbocharged Diesel engine that delivers a power output of 179.5PS. With an all-aluminium construction, the Ingenium diesel engine is claimed to be lighter, more efficient and eco-friendly.
